THE GOODNESS OF BLACKCURRANT

One of the primary ingredient in our Kupples,Cassisaid Tonic, CassisaidExtractsTM, line of products is the, Blackcurrant (or Cassis berries) which is a small purple berry grown in New Zealand. The Blackcurrant is one of nature’s richest sources of anthocyanins and other Polyhenplic compounds.

Only New Zealand grown Blackcurrants are used in our products. The abundant sunshine, nutrient rich soil and cold winters of New Zealand’s South Island provide the optimum environmental conditions for growing the world’s best Blackcurrants. In fact, research by the New Zealand Institute for Crop and Food Resources (CFR) has determined that New Zealand Blackcurrant varieties, such as Ben Ard, are 25% higher in their anthocyanin content than Blackcurrant grown in North America, Poland, Sweden or Scotland.
